GCSE results can be collected from 10am onwards on Thursday, 25th August 2011 from the school.
Between 10am and 12pm there will be staff around school, and results can be collected from the open area in the new block. From 12pm, results can be collected from reception.
The new uniform is available to be collected on Monday, 5 September 2011 between 11am and 7pm for students in Cavendish and Grove Colleges, and on Tuesday, 6 September 2011 between 9am and 7pm for students in Carnarvon and Hollinsclough Colleges.
Parents should have received a pack in the post containing a information for College, information regarding College and Tutor groups, Academy Uniform, Contacts sheet, a Home/Academy Contract, and EV4 form and a information about attendance. When uniform is collected parents need to bring the Contacts sheet, the Home/Academy Contract and the EV4 form. Uniform cannot be provided without the Home/Academy Contract. If anybody is missing any of the information listed above, it can be obtained from the school reception.
A-Level results will be available to collect from 10am onwards on Thursday, 18th August 2011.
As a Specialist Sports College, Wheldon is looking to make maximum use of the 2012 games for students at the school and across other schools in Gedling. Wheldon is leading the creation of the Gedling Sports Leadership Academy, which brings together Sports Leaders from across all of the Gedling secondary schools to develop their skills and gain additional qualifications. The first Academy session will take place on 2 December 2010 with 100 students attending a day at Nottingham Trent University where they will gain qualifications in a range of Olympic sports such as; athletics, basketball, tennis and netball. They will then use these skills to support events and competitions back at their home schools. For the work the school has done in developing the Academy we have been accepted as members of the London 2012 Get Set Network. This means that the school is officially allowed to use the Olympic logo that you can see here.
